OBJECTIVES: 1.     To provide students the understanding of the basic technical conditions in building services that will affect the building design.

2.      To integrate the fundamentals of building services design in the building.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course the student will have the:

1.     Ability to identify the basic building services influence in building design (C2).

2.     Ability to describe the environmental aspect in building design (P2)

3.     Ability to determine the fundamental of design technical in building services (A1).

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:
  • Understand basic Building services, techinicality and their influences in the building design and construction detail.
  • Will be able to intergrate the fundamental services in building design.

SYNOPSIS: This course will expose students to the basic understanding of Electrical services, M&E riser and will also cover the technical and design applications. All these will be emphasized in their building design considerations. For the facilities, it will cover basic understanding of water supply system and reticulation system, sewerage system, and the services infrastructure and as well as the domestic services will be covered.
